Composition for three giant balloons

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Johannes Steininger m.a m a.’s “Composition for three giant balloons” could not be performed in front of a live audience. Instead, the premiere was made accessible as an online event through a live streaming platform.

The soundscapes of the three prepared giant balloons were recorded and carefully digitally processed to create an immersive acoustic experience that the audience could enjoy from home. Despite the lack of physical presence from the audience, Johannes Steininger m.a m a. managed to create a fascinating sound installation that also impressed viewers in the virtual world.

The premiere took place on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
